Today skin care has taken a front seat in the health and beauty industry. All across the country, day spas, resorts, hair salons, and hotels are offering skin care services. Even department stores and boutiques have jumped on this trend, selling more types of skin care products and makeup than ever before.
The US Department of Labor predicts that jobs for skin care specialists will grow rapidly through 2014, as more and more customers-–particularly aging baby boomers--look to specialists to improve their skin. Some of us will open our own salons or clinics; some will teach or act as sales representatives or product trainers for manufacturers of products or treatment equipment.
